Beginnings and excitment

I'm very tired so I'll keep this entry short.

Today was the first day back at school. I woke up sort of early, but I've been doing that all summer. Since early morning, it was hotter than a motherfucker outside. But again, I'm used to it. You don't live in Phoenix for 15+ years and not get used to it. It's hilarious seeing freshman and/or transfer students that aren't used to the heat walking around campus with agonizing looks on their faces.

In the morning, I arrived ready to go to my Physics 101 lab in the morning, only to find out that they labs are canceled on the first week of school. Maybe I should have read the syllabus before going to school. So I had to dick around the entire morning trying to find something to pass the time. I went to the bookstore a few times, once by myself and again with a friend. I had lunch with a friend, and then hung out at the library. But the morning seemed to last forever without classes.

Well, finally in the afternoon I attended my first class of the semester. It is Film Production taught by Chris Lamont. He's a local producer and founder of the Phoenix Film Festival. He spent the entire class going on about his big ego, but he's always seemed like an approachable and nice guy from other times I've talked to him while volunteering for the film festival. I think I'm going to love this class. Completing a short film is a requirement for the course, as is helping in the production of the films of the other four people in our teams. So I'll be taking part in at least five film productions this semester and I couldn't be more excited. If anybody has any idea they'd like to get made into a 3 minute film, feel free to share them.

After class my dad picked me up to take me home and I slept the entire car ride. Good thing I don't take the bus home or I would've really knocked out and gotten my shit stolen, or worse (some of you know what I'm talking about). But I got home exhausted and with a giant headache which I still have as of this word right here... I think I just need to rest for it to go away, but I spent all day away from my baby (new computer, see last blog) so I'll go to sleep later.

Tomorrow will be another fun day which I am looking forward to. I'll tell you all about it then.
